ABANDONED - THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND (1) HORSE TRIALS ON GOOD FRIDAY 7TH & EASTER SATURDAY 8TH APRIL AT THE ARDINGLY SHOWGROUND

We are very sad to announce the abandonment of The South of England (1) Horse Trials in a week’s time. We have tried our utmost to run but every plan and alteration has been thwarted by this continuous wet weather.

The ground is just too sodden with absolutely no chance of drying up enough to make it safe for both horse and rider. So, there was only one decision that could be made this morning by the officials.

We do apologise, it is a huge disappointment to all our competitors, fantastic teams of course builders, stewards, volunteers and sponsors but we tried our best. We hope you understand.

HAS SECURED ADANDONMENT INSURANCE TO COVER 90% OF YOUR ENTRY IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED / ABANDONED DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER.

Start fee will be refunded in full. Should the event be cancelled / abandoned as defined in rule 4.11.1 found in the members handbook at www.britisheventi
